I stopped watching Ch 40 when they no longer had Donna on as Anchor. She and Kristina were the reasons i watched it. So glad to see her again, i like her "real" person personality. So good to see you again !! Elaine

Thanks for sharing your experience. I felt sad reading about the Reese family. As a little kid, I could not imagine what Bobby had already gone through. He was in trouble even when I knew him. My Dad had intimated as much after Bobby would go home from getting his bike fixed by my Dad. I feel blessed that my parents were there for me, even though the were divorced.

I wish more people would come forward about this neighborhood, and Rancho Cordova. Things have changed, and they are getting better. We are still not, as a community, accepting some truths about our neighborhoods, our schools and the role we play in either perpetuating the problem, or solving them.

Very sad family the Reese boys. Knew then all - Bobby, Scott and James. The parents you speak about - no, that was the grandparents. Father never in the picture and their mother was killed. There was a accident dealing with CALExpo and the police and the boy's mother was killed. The boys all got a very small settlement at age 18. Use to babysit for the Probst's. The middle brother Scott - nicname Shell - because he was born in a Shell gas station. They also had a Aunt Barbara who lived with them - she was just out of prison herself. I left RC in 1980 and only went back twice in my life. Don't know what happened to Bobby's older brothers but the odds were not good for any of them and the Probst's - Glad I moved away. It's all very sad. Your right - different players, same game, same outcome, death.
