At an campaign appearance with several dozen African American pastors and community leaders Tuesday, Phil Angelides suggested that Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger once supported apartheid in South Africa.

In the 1970s and ’80s, when Angelides claimed he was helping African American candidates get elected in Sacramento, “My opponent was allegedly defending apartheid in South Africa,” Angelides said to an all-black audience at St. Andrews AME Church in Sacramento.

Holy Cow! This guy is finished. Who the hell is advising him, and have they considered they’ll be relocating to the midwest when they find themselves unemployable in California Politics.

I mean, this is the kind of thing someone would expect some ultra left wing wack job who spent 10k for their campaign, not, what is it up to now, $35 million for Angelides?
