Spyware maker iDownload threatens CastleCops
CastleCops responds to iDownload/iSearch
iDownload has sent CastleCops and Spyware Warrior a "Cease and Desist" letter concerning their listing of ISearch as spyware and discussion on the site about their product. (Slashdot plug) (Broadband Reports article)(blogcritics article)
I guess the truth hurts. CastleCops wrote back to inform them about our little spyware law here in CA. A CastleCops member has posted a petition for the public to sign against Idownload's scare tactics, "Response to iSearch/iDownload Cease & Desist Threats"
Can Google Ads be construed as "improperly disparaging the iDownload/iSearch brand"(google: isearch)?
I wonder if iDownload is going to take on Microsoft's SpyNet? Please Microsoft, jump in this fight! Support the community!
